Dog Boarding
We offer long and short term boarding for dogs, cats and small animals.
Our Daily Rate includes lots of TLC, fresh water, feeding up to 3 times daily, unlimited access to the outdoors in good weather, outdoors every 2 hours in cold weather. Each dog will be provided a minimum of 4 playtimes in our outdoor pay area (individual or group). Our runs are disinfected daily, suites are tidied, and bedding fluffed. Rate as of February 1 2022, $34.00 plus HST per day per dog. After 14 days they will receive a complimentary bath. There is no extra charge for administration of oral medications.

Cat Boarding
Our Daily Rate includes lots of TLC, fresh water, litterbox cleaned twice daily, feeding up to 3 times a day. $18.00 plus HST per day per cat. Discounts are available for multiple cats from the same family. Our private suites are in a quiet, cozy area separate from the dogs. There is no extra charge for administration of oral medications.

Doggie Daycare
Drop your dog off with us while you are at work, and he or she will never be lonely again! Includes a minimum of 4 playtimes. $27.00 plus HST per day per dog. Extended daycare days are $30.00 plus HST
A Day at the Spaw
Introducing our new 'spaw' package for dogs. Drop off between 8 and 10 am and pick your tired, sweet smelling dog up between 4:30 and 6:00 pm. Your dog will enjoy a play, a walk, a bath and blow dry (including nail trim). $55.00
What to Bring
Although it takes us longer to feed each pet individually, we ask that you bring your pet's food along, and we will feed exactly as you do at home. With this approach we find that your pet's appetite is maintained, and stomach upsets caused by a change of food are lessened. We would be pleased to administer any oral medications according to your instructions, at no extra charge.
Your dog must be up to date on vaccines, including the Bordatella vaccination. Cats must be current for FVRCP and rabies. A veterinarian signed certificate or a receipt with vaccines given and expiration date is required in order to board and can be emailed to us ahead of time.
While at Teacherspet Pet Retreat, your dog will be sleeping on a Great Canadian Pet Cot, because your dog's comfort is important to us. These cots are comfortable and hygienic, and evenly distribute weight to prevent joint related difficulties. They cut down on elbow calluses and are beneficial for arthritic and geriatric pets.You may bring your pet's favourite toys or blanket or bed, however we are not responsible for lost or destroyed items.
We can also provide care for your small pet (rabbit, guinea pig, hamster etc)., or bird at $10.00 per day +HST.
About Kennel Cough (Bordatella)
We wish it was called off leash dog park cough or dog training cough, anything but Kennel Cough. Actually, your dog can pick it up walking on the street and stopping to say hi to another dog. Kennel cough is not serious, but it is something that happens occasionally when dogs interact.
The dogs staying at Teacherspet must have current Bordatella vaccinations. Like a flu shot, a bordatella shot doesn't guarantee that your dog won't get kennel cough. A dog has to bring the virus in, it isn't manufactured here.
Every precaution will be taken to ensure that your dog goes home healthy and happy. But, like sending your child to preschool, they can pick up illnesses from contact with other dogs.
We believe in the value of off leash play and allowing dogs to socialize and play when they are here.
Make sure that your pet is vaccinated at least 2 weeks before coming in for boarding.
